Thanks to efforts of two local “grassroots” members who went to Tallahassee for the last committee meeting on this bill, it passed in the house. It still does not have a Senate Bill. Unfortunately, without this it has NO chance of being passed into law. All we are asking is that we go back to what it was prior to the amendment made to exclude private businesses with LESS than 26 employees. With this clause in, private businesses can split into smaller LLCs to get around this requirement stealing jobs from our local citizens and allowing illegals to work in our county.
Please write our Senator Keith Truenow asking him to take the HB and create a corresponding Senate bill NOW. Also contact:
