- SB-180 was a hot topic:
- Representative Gentry, district 27 will be pushing a correction to the bill SB-180 (7:38 in the recording)
- Several attendees spoke to repeal this bill:
- Leslie Campione LCBCC
- Mayor James Homich, City of Mt Dora (also against Live Local Act)
- Zach Decker, City of Groveland P&Z
- Carreno, City of Eustis
- Paul Owens, 1000 Friends of Florida
- Two citizens that were not on the agenda spoke against SB-180
- Senator Truenow is planning a resolution to be on 2026 ballot for an exemption for agricultural producers on tangible personal property. Note: this could impact some city budgets. (10:58 in the recording)

- Representative Yarkosky – Eliminate the North Lake Hospital Tax by putting this on the ballot. Truenow stated there will be a proposal on how the indigent community and North Lake will be served without this tax.
- Representative Cobb – Introducing a bill for compensation for health care workers who provide care to Lake County inmates.
- Representative Gentry – Introducing a bill for “single member district” in the county.
The entire delegation said they are always available to hear from their constituents. Use your voice to make certain you are heard.
