An interesting spin on Paul Harvey’s “If I Were the Devil”. He was a true visionary. Here is the original 1964 “If I Were the Devil”
Marie Dubois’ Version of “If I were the Devil”
If I were the Devil, and I wanted to extinguish the Grassroots Republican Executive Committee in Lake County, here is what I would do:
If I were the Devil, I would discontinue monthly meetings.
If I were the Devil, I would change the time, date, and location of all future meetings.
If I were the Devil, I would randomly schedule and then cancel meetings.
If I were the Devil, I would slowly walk all new grassroots membership applications.
If I were the Devil, I would delay sending new member information to the Supervisor of the Elections Office.
If I were the Devil, I would change the locks of the Republican Headquarters and limit hours of operation to the public.
If I were the Devil, I would post armed Law enforcement at the meetings.
If I were the Devil, I would remove previous committees’ documents from the website.
If I were the Devil, I would eliminate contact information from members from websites, eliminating the Public’s ability to contact their elected precinct representative.
If I were the Devil, I would have expensive fundraisers.
Then, if I were the Devil, I would invite a Florida House rep from another county to explain that they do not need grassroot involvement to get elected and have him tell the membership that the Republican party is what the RPOF says it is and to either support the party as defined by them (RPOF) or to Sit down and shut up!
