This message was sent by our chairman this morning “Tonight’s LCREC meeting is postponed and will be rescheduled as soon as possible.” If AG Uthmeier is “seriously sick” it probably will not be in July! Second time a featured speaker cancelled. NOTE: the website still shows the meeting on the calendar so don’t let that mislead you.
Lake County was once the most vibrant REC in the state and now it has become the least effective in the state. Only TWO meetings this year with June and now July cancelled. We are not getting any REC business done.
Members are getting frustrated. June Lang eloquently stated “I am livid to have just received word that Taylor Yarkosky has again cancelled another monthly meeting of our Lake County REC. Again, because a guest speaker was unavailable. I was under the impression the Lake County Republican Committee was formed to do the People’s work and represent the People of Lake County, not a social club for guest speakers. Although, guest speakers have always been welcome, they are not the reason for our meetings.”
We recommend that you express your displeasure to Yarkosky, encouraging all who feel compelled, to please contact him to let him know your feelings and frustrations. There is power in numbers. Let them know this is NOT acceptable behavior from “leaders” in Lake County.
