Vote YES on SB 86 – Commercial Motor Vehicles Operated by Unauthorized Aliens

Let’s not repeat the tragic accident that happened in Florida on the turnpike by an illegal alien doing an illegal u-turn!

CURRENT  – Florida law lacks clear direction when commercial motor vehicles are operated by unauthorized aliens—creating uncertainty for law enforcement and unnecessary risk on our highways.

PROBLEM

  • Unauthorized aliens operating large commercial vehicles pose serious public safety risks.
  • Law enforcement faces inconsistent enforcement without clear statutory authority.
  • Law-abiding drivers and employers are undercut by unfair competition and increased liability.

RESOLUTION – Vote Yes on SB 86

  • Requires law enforcement to take unauthorized aliens operating commercial motor vehicles into custody and transfer them to federal authorities.
  • Mandates vehicle impoundment until fines and fees are paid.
  • Prohibits motor carriers connected to these violations from operating in Florida.

Clear rules. Real consequences. Safer roads. Public safety is non-negotiable.

SB 86 reinforces the rule of law, protects lawful drivers and businesses, and gives law enforcement the clarity they need. Florida’s highways are not a free-for-all.
