The December meeting and Christmas party was held in Clermont at the Clermont City Center on Dec 15th. In case you missed it, here are a few important take-aways.
- The membership roster dated November 10, 2025 that is on the Lake GOP website is not accurate. After it was brought to the attention of the Chairman, that his count was wrong, we agreed that we did indeed have a quorum with the lower number of members. It was promised to be fixed, but as of this writing, it is still incorrect, showing members as alternates and too many alternates for certain precincts, no precinct listed, and an incorrect precinct. If you are not on the membership list and believe you were dropped inadvertently, you should contact the Secretary Stephen Shylkofski.
- T Scott Walker made a motion to adopt the 2026 Proposed Meeting dates for the Lake GOP Executive Committee, with a 30 day notice to members of any changes in dates. THE MOTION WAS SECONDED AND PASSED. Cheryl Pavlacka pointed out that the May date was on Memorial Day and would need to be changed. The proposed dates for 2026 are the fourth Monday of the month: Jan 26, Feb 23, Mar 23, Apr 27, May 25 (Memorial Day), Jun 22, Jul 27, Aug 24, Sep 28, Oct 26, Nov 23 and Dec 14 (which will be the meeting where a new board will be elected).
